It depends.

Some AIRSOFT shotguns use magazines which look like shotgun shells. They have the look of shells, but are magazines as they hold BB’s for a number of shots and aren’t involved in the action of the gun in any way..

Other (gas powered) airsoft shotguns use shells to hold the BB’s for one shot which are cycled and ejected in the manner of real shotguns. These shells aren’t magazines, but are stored in the magazine (the tube below the barrel).

you have a gun.. the gun fires the shell which is loaded into a magazine, and inserted into the gun…

um sorry to say but 60 dollars wont get u much of an aeg but if you save up a little more you could get the pulse r72 which is very accurate 275 fps (it will hurt) and its about 80 or 90 dollars if you want a good cheap gun save up and get the r72. I’m going to get it for myself to very soon.

I own a WELL R6 from airsplat and it is a very good gun. It is accurete once the hop up backspin is properly adjusted. Airsoft shotguns are very good. As long as you dont buy a 10 dollar crap one, they have faster rates of fire than a spring rifle and are powerful. AEGs are more fun though

The spring shotguns are among the worst of all airsoft guns.
Avoid them. Airsoft AEG’s are VERY accurate guns, and there is even a good one within your limited price range.
I reccomend you look at the WELL R6. It’s a M4 clone with a metal gearbox and metal gears. It shoots at around 350 fps. and it will consistantly place all shots on a dime sized target at 25 feet on full-auto. It’s impressive what you can get for sixty bucks or so. Find it on sale here:

Hey Steve,
An accurate airsoft gun will require:
A) A medium weight bb such as .25, any lighter and your bb
will go everywhere.
B) A good hop-up system where you can adjust the velocity of
your bb to control accuracy.
As for the pain, Anything above 300 feet per second will do!
I’m sorry to say, but 55-60 bucks won’t get you much but you might have luck finding a good one for that price on ebay or at a local dealer.
